The History of P.A.L.S.

PALS was formed in 2017 by Sharon Wenger as a response to the closing of Sonrise Academy Preschool in Lebanon. When a dog-puppet named Scruffy was introduced to the classroom, he added a bit of magic and mystery to our learning. He has now become our program's mascot and namesake: P.A.L.S. stands for Play And Learn with Scruffy!

To date, over 100 students have enrolled at PALS since our very first class. In 2025, the Lord led this program to partner with Christ Community Church in Myerstown. It's been a joy to see God grow this ministry so we can teach even more children!
